Saints’ season starts strong

Equally impressive was Dan Henderson and Brandon Batchelor, with six and four goals respectively.

Jack Magill had a stellar senior debut, kicked a goal and earned himself an award.

Fraser Haintz found plenty of the footy as always.

Congratulations to Kaleb Litchfield who also made his senior debut from our thirds side on Saturday.

The ressies didn’t disappoint in their first hit out for the season, taking the chocolates.

There were eight goal scorers in total, with Mitch Rownry, Lach Pyle, Connor Thornton and Wayde Melle all contributing.

Thirds

Coaches Fraser Haintz and Craig Thornton were impressed with the selfless passages of play, which saw multiple goal scorers from the side.

Zavier Binns burst through, taking some big marks in his first game back for over 12 months, as did Lachlan Whelan who had impressive pace through the centre of the ground.

Tom Baxter was strong in the ruck and Jordan Swann was effective as ever in front of goal with nine for the day and set up another five or more.

Lachlan Packer also had impressive tally in front of goal.

Fourths

A tough day at the office for our youngest Saints, with a couple players away and lots of fresh new talent.

Jack Phillips rucked all day and did a great job.

Rylan Gorman was relentless and stepped up into the role left behind from the departing captains and players from last year’s side.
