With 24 couples making their debuts in Finley this month, their introductions were made over two big nights at the Finley RS Club.

Ball coordinator and dance instructor Vicki Ackers had been working with the teens for several weeks before the May 2 and May 9 balls.
Each deb group’s couples performed the rhumba, Lucille waltz, samba and progressive evening three step in front of thier family, friends and other special guests.
They also came together for a Thriller medley dance.
“The debutantes were amazing young people to work with,” Mrs Ackers said.
“I’m very proud of them, and for always being respectful and kind hearted.”
Mrs Ackers said while it was called the Finley Debutante Ball, it was not just Finley’s young people taking part in the tradition of the deb.
Blighty, Cobram, Numurkah, and the areas in between, were also represented.
Mrs Ackers thanked the Finley RS for its “venue and fabulous cuisine”, Dysons for helping with transport and Rhonda Doyle of Cobram Photographics.
Proceeds from both balls will be donated to support the Finley Little Athletics Club.
