Euroa product Georgia Gall has remained one of Melbourne’s focal points down forward, and her Demons currently find themselves in second, one of three teams boasting a 7-1 record.
Gall has booted six goals and averages three marks a game, and with four games to play there’s every chance the 22-year-old could be strutting her stuff in finals footy once more.
Meanwhile, Kyabram’s Julia Crockett-Grills and Benalla’s Becky Webster, both bestowed Geelong Life Membership earlier this season, find themselves in the finals figuring again, the Cats squarely in the race in third.
Crockett-Grills recently followed Webster’s lead into a significant AFLW milestone, becoming only the second Cats player to pass the 75-game milestone.
"It is incredible, (Geelong) has been a huge part of my life now," Crockett-Grills said to Cats Media.
"When I first signed on, I was still young and still navigating what I wanted out of life.
"Now looking back, I have settled in here at Geelong and I think the whole club itself and the people, have shaped the person that I am now.
"I have settled down, have a little family now and am really moving into that next phase of life.
"I have Geelong to thank for a lot of that and for making that happen."
West Coast have pulled themselves off the canvas with an enthralling two-goal derby win against Fremantle, and Shepparton United’s Keeley Skepper had plenty to say in the final result.
Skepper, who joined the Eagles from Carlton ahead of the season, booted a vital pair of goals, with her side now on the cusp of the top eight with a 4-4 record.
Shepparton Swans export Holly Egan was influential for the Dockers to keep an industrious start to her career rolling on, but with three of their final four games coming against rival top eight sides, Fremantle will need a big finish.
