In the Murray league, Tongala’s A-graders emerged from the third to sixth bracket for a third year in a row, defeating Rumbalara 55-39 to set up a preliminary final with Mulwala.
The Blues got the best of the Lions in their last meeting and will hope to do so again to see Nathalia on grand final day.
Unfortunately for the Blues’ senior side, it was unable to match its netball counterparts, crashing out of the competition in a 15.12 (102) to 7.6 (48) defeat to Nathalia.
Tonny struggled to score for much of the game, putting on a combined 23 points across the first, second and fourth quarters, while the Purples goaled consistently during the game.
