It was a tough day at the office for our girls, but we are so proud of the sportsmanship and netball skills they displayed.
With the help of our A-grade debut Kate, the defensive pressure led to many turnovers and scoring opportunities.
The midcourt worked tirelessly bringing the ball down to our attackers. With lots of great passing into the ring.
The shooters had their work cut out for them in the goal ring. But they stood strong, gaining multiple rebounds and keeping that scoreboard pressure.

B-grade: Jerilderie 39 def by Katunga 76.
The Demons put up a hell of a fight but were defeated by a very established Katunga side.
The scoreboard in no way reflects how our girls play netball. Our side should be incredibly proud of their efforts.
The defence built pressure and created many turnovers.
The midcourt worked well, bringing the ball down. At times, there was fantastic feeding into our shooters, but they were not a match for Katunga’s defence.

C-grade: Jerilderie 28 def by Katunga 65.
C-grade didn’t get over the line against a strong Katunga, but there was great play throughout the game.
Mia Neessen showed great skill, determination and resilience during the whole game.
Stacey Crutch did amazing in WD this week and Fi Edwards was moving around the ring amazingly.

C-reserve: Jerilderie 10 def by Katunga 45.
The girls had great communication and kept Katunga on their toes.
They tried out different positions and are working on find their strength as a team.
The midcourt was able to move the ball well to the ring and defence was able to force some errors for the opposition.

Under-17s: Jerilderie 29 def by Katunga 40.
The girls did a spectacular job, showing great netball skill through the whole game.
Shikaya Hall and Miley Conn were fast and quick in the ring with some great rebounds and interceptions.
Mikayla King, Rosie Steel and Neveah Webb did amazing all through the midcourt keeping their own and showing great cover in their defensive mode.
Ruby Neessen and Ava Belling had a tough time in the ring with their defenders, but showed great movement and goal shooting throughout the game.

Under-15s: Jerilderie 31 def Katunga 22.
Zara Williams was great in centre picking up any loose balls.
Grace Cameron came into GD and moved well while Eliza Godfrey in GK got all the rebounds and made it hard for the ball to get in the ring.
Ruby Neessen and Stella Williams both shot beautifully moving in and out of the ring well.
Shania Enu and Rylee Bell shared the WD spot making it hard for them to get the ball in their attacking end.
Chelsea Hibbert as always presented strongly.

Under-13s: Jerilderie 12 def by Katunga 22.
The score definitely didn’t reflect the effort, determination or skills the girls demonstrated today.
Sama Swaid showed her skills in GA and C getting hands over the ball and lots of intercepts. Jacinta Eldridge ran her heart out in C and GA and was everywhere on the court.
Pippa Shaw had a great game in WA, she made her presence known and was in the air for high balls.

The under-11 girls worked on calling each other’s names when passing.
Amity Ewert and Sarah Baffsky both worked hard in defence and made the opposition work hard for goals.
Lara Hercus played some fantastic netball across various positions and Marlee Shaw showed bravery throughout the game.
