Toc came out strong, with early momentum fuelled by Andrew Dickins who continued his impressive form from the previous week with an early goal.
Flynn Tonks and Xavier Walker also made notable contributions for the Bloods, adding majors to the scoreboard.
The atmosphere was charged with positivity, and the tackling pressure reached its peak for the season.
Tocumwal closed the first quarter with a narrow three-point lead.
However, the second quarter saw Jerilderie dominate, scoring five goals unanswered and heading into half-time with a commanding 32-point lead.
Tocumwal’s coaching staff were left puzzled by the shift in momentum after the promising start.
Half-time interventions comprised stern yet encouraging words, reigniting the team’s drive that had waned.
The third quarter showcased a resurgence from Tocumwal, with improved midfield play generating better forward opportunities.
Dickins added two more goals to his tally, while Walker and Eddy each contributed one.
Winning the quarter by 13 points narrowed the deficit to 19 points heading into the final quarter.
Unfortunately, rising star Liam Sutton sustained a broken arm during the quarter, sidelining him for the remainder of the game. His absence was felt, and the team extends their well wishes for a speedy recovery.
Regrettably, the final quarter did not unfold as planned for Tocumwal, as Jerilderie elevated their game, leaving Tocumwal ruing missed chances.
Jerilderie ultimately triumphed by 42 points.
Toc’s coach Kirchen addressed the team, emphasising the importance of sustaining intensity throughout all four quarters to secure victory.
He highlighted the team’s potential to compete with the best in the league when playing at their peak.

This was matched by fellow Demon Jethro Calma Holt with four goals of his own, including a beauty from the boundary in the third quarter to keep Jerilderie well and truly in the finals race.
