With a close score throughout, we unfortunately ran out of puff in the last quarter, where Katamatite got away from us.
The girls played well together and put in a lot of effort.

Under-17s: Blighty 56 def Katamatite 17.
After a sore loss last week, the girls were back as a whole side to make amends this week against Katamatite.
The Redeyes led each quarter and finished the game with a solid scoreline.
Chelsea Singleton’s constant attack and accurate decision-making on the court earned her the top award for the game.
Chelsea and teammate Dakota McKenzie combined in the centre. Dakota worked tirelessly all day to push her team forward in attack.
Izzy Pearn stepped up from under-15s and stamped her mark in defence.
She was dedicated to her role, which created great pressure and turnovers.
Ruby Caruso also solidly carried out her defensive role, causing the opposition to make errors.

Under-15s: Blighty 23 def Katamatite 2.
The under-15s started strong, picking up loose balls and turning those into goals, giving us a good lead in the first quarter.
Ally McKenzie tried GK this week and smashed it.
She was on her toes the whole time and got some great turnovers.
Eliza Weir and Ivy Ball controlled the ball down the court, making great passes for our amazing shooters.

Under-13s: Blighty 13 def Katamatite 7.
The under-13s had a great game against Katamatite.
They created strong passages of play down the court, resulting in goals.
Our players had a go at different positions, stepping out of their comfort zone as they continued to develop their skills.
Awards: Flipstars - Ellie Miller, Blighty Canteen Award - Lena Seely and Andrews incentive - Savannah Bain.
Under-11s: Not scored.
We are very proud of all the girls this week for having another great game and showing much improvement down the whole court.
Indi Bain impressed us all with many amazing intercepts.
Peggy McKenzie and Poppy Armytage were front cutting and driving towards the ball to help the girls get a couple of goals.
