During the week, they have discovered that being a personal trainer requires far more than just lifting weights.
While the boys anticipated a week of workouts, gym manager and mentor Daniel Zrajko revealed that the reality took them by surprise.
"They don’t expect the gym to be a lot of paperwork, cleaning, and talking," Mr Zrajko said.
According to the students, who are Fitnow! members, their initial expectations differed from the daily reality.
They quickly learned that breaking a sweat is only a fraction of the job.
The other 90 per cent relies on behind-the-scenes activities, sanitation, and client interaction.
The students were incorporated into the daily routine, taking on physical and organisational tasks.
“We packed up equipment, wiped machines, vacuumed, and helped out with live fitness classes,” they said.
Riley Reynolds lifts some weights, under Stanley Rberts' guidance.
"I didn't realise how much cleaning was involved," Riley added.
Both students expressed great enthusiasm for the opportunity.
"We really loved the experience and had a great time learning how a business actually works," they shared.
Mr Zrajko noted significant personal growth in both teenagers over the course of the week, watching them transform as they interacted with members.
"This program really helps kids get out of their shell and build real confidence," he said.
“It teaches them great communication skills that are vital for any future career path, forcing them to talk to people from all walks of life."
The benefits are already extending beyond the gym walls.
Riley and Stanley both said they can now apply these practical skills at home.
Ultimately, the boys agreed the demanding week taught them invaluable employment skills.
