The team had hoped to make it a closer contest, but after some missed opportunities, the Roos ran away with the game.
The Rovers were slick with ball movement and pressured hard all day.
Blighty didn’t bring enough energy to start the game, which was disappointing.
Matt Macansh stood tough, as did Elijah Swiggs.
Ari Glover worked hard on the forward flank, and Mason Coote was desperate down back.

The group wanted to end positively and celebrate an improved year.
The team matched Deni around the ground most of the day, but their work and set up around contests broke the team open.
Blake Charlton was the best performing Charlton brother on the day.
The backline boys of Brodie Park and George ‘Chopper’ Reid fought hard.

Thirds
The way the boys applied pressure and made Deni work for it in the first quarter was pleasing. But we just could not convert a score once we entered our 50.
Once Rovers gained the momentum and started putting their foot down, they were hard to stop.
Better players were Nick Rosbiffi, Xander Strong, Nut Goodsell, Andrew Frost, Mark Godfrey, and Hudson Kelly, and Sam Conallin got the Good Sport award.

Fourths
The Rovers were too fast and accurate with their passes, but Blighty didn’t stop trying all game - which is one of their strengths.
Best on went to Jordy Brain. Other awards went to Andrew Frost, Harlem Morgan and Charlie Tremble.
Daniel Burn got the Good Sport award.
Other honourable mentions went to Langa Fevaleaki and Degan Morgan.
Blighty should be proud of their season.

Fifths
With a later start and a purpose built fifths oval to play on, we were excited for the challenge.
After a tough first game early in the season, we were keen to test ourselves to see how much we have improved.
The first quarter was a cracking contest. We adapted well to the larger ground, working well as a team, playing good link-up footy.
In the second quarter, Deni showed us they were a quality outfit by gaining first possession of the footy. To our credit, we applied great pressure.
Our effort didn’t drop in the last half. We kept taking the game on, resulting in a great goal to Clancy.
