Nine of the Hawks’ teams have qualified for finals, including all four football teams and all but the A-grade and under-17s netball sides.
The seniors football side have had a sublime season, finishing fourth with 11 wins and five losses.
The young team have performed all year, including a seven game win streak between rounds 9 and 15.
The side also has the competition’s stand-out goal kicker in Riley Gow, who has kicked 91 during the home and away season.
They have a challenge ahead of them thought, beginning their finals campaign against an undefeated Katandra team in a qualifying final next Saturday, August 22 at Katunga.
Barooga’s other football sides have had even more wins this season, with the reserves placing third on the ladder, while both the thirds and fourths have finished as minor premiers.
Both junior teams finished on top with the best percentage, losing only one match each.
With each team finishing top four and earning a qualifying final, both are at Katunga next Saturday.
The fourths will play Tocumwal at 9.15am, followed by the thirds who will play the Deni Rovers at 10.25am.
Meanwhile, the reserves play their qualifying final at Strathmerton from 12.15pm next Sunday, August 23 against Tungamah.
In netball, the Hawks have also done well, with five teams finishing in the top eight.
The two most senior netball sides, B-grade and C-grade, each finished fifth and play in Tocumnwal this Saturday, August 15.
B-grade will play Katamatite from 11.50am and C-grade will play Rennie from 1.30pm.
The C-Reserve side finished the highest out of the netballers, in second, and will play a qualifying final next Sunday, August 23 from 11.50am against Dookie United at Strathmerton.
In the junior netball, the under-15s have placed sixth and the under-13s have finished eighth.
Both teams will play an elimination final versus Mathoura this week.
The under-13s will play this Saturday at Tocumwal from 10.25am, while the under-15s play on Sunday at Rennie from 9.15am.
