Berrigan finished their 2026 A-grade netball season with a seven goal win over Mathoura.
The whole team showed excellent composure, taking an early lead and maintaining control throughout the game.
Everyone worked hard, backed each other up and kept the pressure on right through to the end. It was the ideal way to finish the season and a great reflection of how far this group has come.
There is so much to build on, and the club is already keen to see what this team can do next season.

The side went out firing from the first whistle. It was a strong effort across the court, showcasing some great netball and a positive finish to the season.

C-grade: Berrigan 52 def Mathoura 19
After a few weeks of near misses, the side was hungry for an overdue win to cap off the season, and they didn’t disappoint.
The players came out firing from the start, securing an early lead and quickly capitalising on turnovers.
It was a fantastic team effort and a well-deserved win to finish off the season.

C-reserve: Berrigan 13 def by Mathoura 26
The team played some cohesive netball to finish off the season against a tough Mathoura side.
There were great leads, hard drives, plenty of options and some fantastic moments of backing each other’s play.
Mathoura capitalised on a few key turnovers and conversions and managed to sneak away in the end.

Under-17s: Berrigan 30 def by Mathoura 33
They Saints played four quarters of skilful, disciplined netball and gave absolutely everything right until the very end.
While the result was disappointing, the team showed maturity and composure.

Under-15s: Berrigan 11 def by Mathoura 49
The girls came out strong in the first quarter and put together some really nice passages of netball, but Mathoura gradually gained the upper hand and ran away with the momentum.
There were some great holds and strong positioning in the ring, with the girls working hard to create opportunities, but they struggled to match the speed and flow of a very well-oiled Mathoura side.

Under-13s: Berrigan 7 def by Mathoura 24
The girls showed great teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the game.
While no match for Mathoura, they should all be proud of the way they represented the Saints.

A fantastic final game from all the girls, who have shown so much growth over the season. It will be exciting to see what 2027 brings.
