Corowa RSL Bowls Club held their Annual General Meeting and 2025-26 Trophy Presentations.
Congratulations to Shawn McMahon, newly re-elected President of the Corowa RSL Bowls Club for 2026-27.
Vice President is Scott Widdison.
Social Bowls Tuesday
Sixteen bowlers played Social Fours, winners were Alan Jones, Jason Nicholls, Greg Keyte and Shane Rosenow.
Runners Up, Jenny Lawrence, Dux, Laurie Way and Ken Mollison.
Open Saturday Jackpot Pairs
The Jackpot was won on Saturday May 3rd.
Twenty-six players played Pairs and two games of Triples.
The ‘Jackpot’ of $264 was won by Laurie Way and Joan Wood.
Jackpot Bowls is open to all members and guests every Saturday commencing at 1pm, names down by Midday.
Bowlers can enter as a Pair or a single and the Match Committee will organise a partner.
Saturday, May 9, in conjunction with Jackpot Pairs, Rosemary Baddeley and the Match Committee, we will be hosting our annual Anti-Cancer Charity Day.
Members are asked to bring a share plate of afternoon tea please and cash for raffles.
There will also be saleable goods available.
The 2026-27 Match Committee is Jenny Lawrence, Anne Summerill, Rhonda Clark, Laurie Way and Kevin Bowler.
Honorary Secretary Susie Swift and Treasurer Gary Brown.
Chair of Greens is Ken Widdison and bar manager Greg Keyte.
Adrian Pantling from Wangaratta will again be employed as greenkeeper with the assistance of our volunteer members.
Coach for the upcoming season is Chris Cooney.
Judy Black will be Media, and Facebook co Ordinator.
Members wish to thank Peter Summerill for his many years of voluntary service as greens coordinator.

Corowa Civic Bowls Club
Presentation of Trophies evening has been transferred to Sunday, May 31at midday.
For catering purposes, the Board would be grateful if you can put your name on the list at the Club by May 24.
The Ladies Two Day Tournament gets underway this week - good bowling to all entrants who have entered from near and far.
Thank you to our members and friends who have indicated they are able to help with salads and slices for this event.
A big thank you to all who have volunteered to help prepare meals for both days.
A good turnout of 24 bowlers came together on Wednesday for social bowls on a lovely sunny day.

Our Sunday afternoon social winners on 18 and 17 (35) were, Ian Day, Joe Carnivale, and Peter Manning.
Runners-up on 16 and 17 (33) were the team of Joan Fletcher, Tony Coppolino, and Betty Clancy.
Tuesday’s winners on 17 and 16 (33) were, Gwen Mills, Joan Fletcher, and Kerry Whalley.
Runners-up on 16 and 16 (32) were Margaret Watson, Gloria McCluskey, and Glenda Willett.
Thursday winners on 17 and 17 (34) were Ian Day, Naz Carnivale, and Greg Williamson.
