The girls came up against a very tough side in Deni, and showed plenty of determination and grit throughout the game.
Charlie Magill was outstanding in defence, applying strong pressure and working tirelessly to contest every ball that came her way.
Bianca Mohr had a brilliant game through the mid-court and goals, moving beautifully around the court and creating great options in attack.
Layla Towler brought excellent pressure through the mid-court and into the ring, never letting up and working hard across every contest.
Overall, it was a fantastic effort from the girls against one of the powerhouse teams in the competition, with plenty of positives to take away moving forward.

The girls took the court with five new players, finally completing our B-grade side for the season.
With it being our first game together as a full team, there was plenty to learn and adjust to, but the girls embraced the challenge and showed great signs of what’s to come moving forward.
Coming up against the might of Deni, we knew we were walking into a tough contest, but the girls never dropped their heads and played with determination, encouragement, and teamwork all game long.
Despite only just coming together, they moved and connected like they’d been playing alongside each other for far longer, which was fantastic to watch.
There are already some really exciting combinations developing across the court, and the potential within this group is enormous.
We can’t wait to see how this team continues to grow, build confidence, and progress together throughout the rest of the season.

As reigning premiers and the top of the table team, Deni were always going to set the standard from the outset.
Our defensive pressure was exceptional, with either end having plenty of the ball.
Unfortunately, our attacking end struggled to convert, but did have some brilliant patches where flow was effortless and optimal.
Plenty to work on, back to the drawing board.

A tough outing for the Saints on Saturday.
We started neck-and-neck and were keeping Deni on their toes.
The girls battled hard in the ring, fighting for every shot at goal under the defensive might of the Rovers.
The middies made some great choices and great drives through the centre but came unstuck to the well drilled pace Deni set.
Saturday’s game belonged to the defenders, and they all worked tirelessly to apply pressure and got away with some great rebounds and turnovers.

We knew Saturday was always going to be a challenge, coming up against a strong Deniliquin side.
We went into the game focusing on both our personal and team goals, while making sure we stayed positive and enjoyed ourselves throughout the match.
Daisy stepped up from the under-15s and rotated through WA and C, proving exactly why she deserves her place in the team after being on our interchange week-after-week.
Monte Vitecomb took everything we’ve been working on at training, the skills, knowledge and effort and put it into action on the court.
Rosie Phillips continues to impress week in and week out. No matter the scoreline or the challenge in front of her, she never gives up, contests every pass into the goal ring, and never drops her head.
Emilee Sneddon bounced back strongly from last week and played with confidence and positivity, showing us all what she is capable of when she backs herself and puts her mind to it.
Coming away with 31 goals really showed the strength and determination within this side, and the girls put up a great fight from start to finish.

The girls had a great hit out today and should be extremely proud of their effort across the entire game.
They chased every ball hard, backed each other up at every contest, and showed fantastic teamwork from start to finish.
The defensive pressure was incredibly strong, with everyone working tirelessly and never giving up, right through until the final whistle.
It’s been fantastic to see the girls starting to bring the things we’ve been working on at training into game day, with improved movement and support across the court.
Each week, they continue to grow in confidence and come together more and more as a team, which is exciting to watch.
The improvement and determination from this group is shining through, and there’s plenty to look forward to as the season continues.

We knew coming in we were coming up a strong Deni side.
The girls worked well to keep up to the fast pace the Rovers set.
Hands were up over nearly every rebound and all girls provided some excellent drives to the ball, remembering to keep running on to push those passes.
A big thanks to Isla Roberston for coming across to play and providing additional support on and off the court.
Emma James showcased her versatility this week, slotting into wherever we needed her and helped lift the game.
Jessie Rice and Tilly Doyle are really coming in strong as our powerhouse defenders and truly starting to find their rhythm.

Game 1: Our youngest netballers really lifted this week. It was fantastic to see some fabulous teamwork.
Elaine Thomas was dominant in the midcourt, getting some great intercepts and moving the ball well.
Rose Manly was another star in the mid-court chasing down the ball.
Game 2: It was the best game yet from our girls!
Lillie Martin was all hustle in defence and earned herself best on court for her relentless effort to pressure all game, brilliantly backed by Lizzy Gorman who worked hard from start to finish.
Sylvia Swann was absolute dynamite through the centre, keeping the ball moving beautifully and directing our set plays all game with confidence and composure.
