This scripture gives us a picture of the throne room of God. Day and night, the angels circle declaring “Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Almighty”.
God is so holy that even the angels cannot look upon His face.
The act of covering their faces and their feet in His presence is an act of humility.
Anything repeated three times in the Bible is also to emphasise its importance.
Of all the attributes of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, the angels sing of His holiness, not his love.
To be holy is to be set apart. It means our God is the highest form of power and moral purity.
The revelation of the holiness of God leads Isaiah to cry out, “Woe is me”.
Likewise, this revelation should bring us to our knees.
To be known by and to know God, we too, must humble ourselves and pray for God to cleanse us of our sins.
We are made righteous in His eyes when we accept His Lordship, however, we too must hate sin and put it far from us.
The depth of our relationship with God is directly proportional to how active we are in the pursuit of holiness.
I don’t know about you, but for me, there is nothing in this world I want more than to know and be known by God, our creator.
