Shepparton police have recovered multiple vehicles stolen at the weekend, as they continue their search for others.
Detective Senior Constable Jeremy Rath said five vehicles were stolen overnight on Friday, August 7, and a further two were stolen overnight on Sunday, August 9, from areas to the east of Shepparton’s central business district.
It is not known if the thefts are linked in any way.
According to police, thieves have entered private properties to steal the vehicles, which include a variety of makes and models, from sedans and SUVs to 4WDs.
Some of the vehicles were reportedly locked, while others were not.
Det Snr Constable Rath said on Monday afternoon, August 10, that five of the vehicles had been recovered.
A red Holden Commodore VF SS sedan and a blue Holden Commodore VF SS sedan remain missing.
Police have received numerous reports of both vehicles being driven erratically around Shepparton and Mooroopna.
