Evie Clarke, Abbey McCarty and Sarah Head were all selected to feature at the national tournament, with the trio playing their part in a successful campaign that saw the state claim bronze.
Held over the last week of July at the State Netball Centre in Melbourne, the championships saw sides from all states and territories face each other for glory.
Victoria first played seven matches in an initial round-robin, before a finals phase that split the ladder into a top and bottom four play-offs.
After a tough start saw Victoria comfortably lose its first two matches, it bounced back by winning the next five.
The side particularly impressed in victories over SA (37-19), Western Australia (43-24), and the Northern Territory (56-6).
A 5-2 record from the round-robin placed the state third and into the top-four finals alongside first-placed Queensland, second-placed NSW, and SA in fourth.
Victoria therefore played NSW in the semi-finals, a side it had lost to by 20 goals in the round-robin.
It was unable to rectify that result, going down 36-17 in a similar outcome.
But the campaign would finish on a high for Victoria, with the local trio helping their state earn bronze with a solid 41-19 win over SA in the third-place play-off.
Clarke and McCarty have both primarily featured in Moama’s under-17 side this year in the Murray Netball League.
The former has played a variety of positions across the court, while the latter is a centre, with the duo key in the Magpies’ dominant regular season that saw them finish top with a 17-1 record.
Clarke has also played three games for Moama’s A-grade side in 2026.
Meanwhile, Head is a goaler for Echuca in the Goulburn Valley League.
The youngster has split her time between the Murray Bombers’ under-15s and 17s this year, and has even featured twice for Echuca’s senior B-reserve side.
