The scoreboard didn’t reflect the quality of Finley’s performance.
Their first‑quarter efforts were outstanding, matching Echuca goal-for-goal and showing the composure and intensity they’ve been building across recent rounds.
Finley’s full‑court defensive pressure was a highlight, with consistent work over the ball carrier forcing turnovers and disrupting Echuca’s rhythm.
In attack, the side moved the ball cleanly out of defence, using the set structures they’ve been refining to create strong forward momentum.
It was a committed, well‑executed performance despite the final margin, and another sign of the group’s growing connection and improvement.
Awards: Daisy Daniels, Hayley Denny.

Our full court defensive pressure was good, with all players contributing and creating many turnovers.
We managed to drive the ball well out of defence and create nice attacking angles on the circle edge into the goalers.
It was great to see we pushed to the final whistle, never giving up.

Unfortunately, our decision-making and lack of accuracy when passing the ball gave our opposition too many opportunities for easy turnovers.
It cost us a win against a stronger Echuca outfit.

Everyone adapted well to the roles they played, and the opponents against whom they were matched.
A tough game, but great to see the girls stay positive, support each other, and keep working hard until the final whistle.
