Jerilderie began strongly, aligning well to their set game plan against a very solid Tocumwal outfit expected to go deep into finals.
The young Demons applied impressive pressure on the ball carrier early, limiting Tocumwal’s scoring efficiency and making them work hard for every opportunity in the opening term.
A lapse in concentration, combined with a wind‑assisted second quarter, allowed Tocumwal to break the game open, capitalising with eight goals for the term.
