“The reason my Father loves me is that I lay down my life - only to take it up again. No-one takes it from me, but I lay it down of my own accord. I have authority to lay it down and authority to take it up again. This command I received from my Father.” (John 10:17-18 NIV).
No-one took Jesus’ life from Him, he willingly laid it down for us.
He did so to pay the price for our disobedience.
Jesus’ willingness to sacrifice His life for us pleased the Father.
We too can please our Heavenly Father by laying down our lives for Jesus.
When we willingly surrender to Jesus, it is the greatest act of sacrificial love we can ever perform.
Just as Jesus rose from death to life, when we surrender all, we too rise up with Jesus’ hands on the steering wheel of our lives.
Just as the Father raised Jesus to be seated with Him at His right hand, we too will be raised up to reign in this life.
Jesus has so much good in store for those who trust and obey Him.
Jesus loves us as much, as the Father loves Him. There is nothing in this world that can compare to being loved by God.
