A late‑night crash on the Echuca Rd left emergency crews searching for answers after a single‑vehicle rollover shortly after midnight on Sunday.
Police, ambulance, VRA and RFS teams arrived about 10km from town to find the vehicle on its roof but no occupants at the scene.
With no one located nearby, police have begun investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Burnt toast triggers alarm
An early‑morning alarm at the nurses’ quarters on Thursday turned out to be more embarrassing than dangerous when burnt toast set off the automatic fire system just after 8am.
Fire and Rescue NSW crews ventilated the area and reset the alarm once the source was confirmed, with no further action required.
Backyard burn contained
A backyard burn in Davidson St prompted a callout on Saturday evening after smoke was seen coming from a property around 6.20pm.
Firefighters arrived to find sticks and leaves alight but already contained with no damage was reported.
