After a horrible accident, Jess Koopman (originally from Tocumwal) spent six days in a coma at the Alfred Hospital and now faces a long road to recovery.
Jess is now in a critical phase of that recovery and is now back at home with his partner, Georgia Glass.
Both Jess and Georgia are unable to work during this time and are going through an incredibly challenging time.
Tocumwal’s Kelly Findlay had a goal to help ease the financial stress on the young couple with a raffle, which has now grown into a major event, with a whopping $9000 in prizes to be won – and counting.
The event will be held at Tattersalls Hotel this Sunday (November 5) from 12pm, with the raffle draws to begin at 3pm.
Tickets are being sold at Tocumwal Post Office, Tocumwal Ice Creamery, Haynes Butchery or Tattersalls Hotel for $5 each.
Major Prizes Include a golf package for four people at Club Tocumwal, a Burton Snowboard, YETI esky, and a paddleboard experience for eight people – and there is so much more.
All money raised will go directly to Jess and Georgia.
On the day there will be a face painter for the kids, a gold coin donation sausage sizzle, Melbourne Cup sweep draws and some live music with Tocumwal’s Nathan Haley.
Make sure you book a table for lunch at Tattersalls Hotel on Sunday to help make a difference. Community support of this event is greatly appreciated.
Shire Council can be contacted on 03 5888 5100 with any questions.
