The Demons ensured the intensity was there from the first whistle.
Defenders Monique Harrington and Ella Arnold made it extremely difficult for Rennie to score.
The tight defence allowed us to gain many turnovers, resulting in added scoreboard pressure.
In the midcourt, Keshia Marshall led the way with strong drives and passes.
The midcourters’ entry into the attacking end was quick and, for the majority of the game, too good for the opposition.
Tanya Rorato was strong, gaining rebounds, intercepts and accurate shooting.
Eden Hercus provided much-needed support.
Our girls proved they are a force to be reckoned with.

B-grade: Jerilderie 37 def by Rennie 43.
Even though we didn’t take home the win, the Demons made sure Rennie had to earn their win.
Defenders led by Toni Shaw made it difficult in the opposite attack, gaining rebounds and many intercepts.
The midcourt line-up worked well, bringing the ball into the attacking end.
Great drives into the pockets and strong feeding to our shooters.
The girls worked hard in tough conditions, being accurate to keep us in the game.

C-grade: Jerilderie 30 def by Rennie 49.
C-grade had a great game, coming together as a team.
Although they didn’t win, they showed great team skills and movement down the court.
Some more skills training should have the ladies in full swing soon enough.

We saw four new players enter our team, showing the team’s ability to be adaptable given the circumstances.
Although we didn’t come away with a win this week, each week the girls are making incredible progress and we look forward to a win on the board very soon.
New recruit Carolyn Lehmann worked the midcourt beautifully, creating clear channels of play and strong passes into the ring.
Brooke Pitt (WD) and Katie Gurciullo (GK) showed impressive improvements this week with their tight defence and great pressure down Rennie’s goal end.
I’m excited to see more improvements as we continue into the season.

Under-17s: Jerilderie 22 def by Rennie 47.
Unfortunately, the under-17s couldn’t quite stand up to the Rennie under-17s.
Despite the girls’ efforts to regain control of the game, Rennie’s relentless pressure proved too much to handle.
The girls showed great determination throughout the game, and this loss is a great learning opportunity for them to work on what they need to improve when they come up against Rennie again.

Under-15s: Jerilderie 16 def by Rennie 32.
The under-15s came up against a strong opposition in some fairly warm conditions.
The side was very competitive in the first and third quarters, showing they could match it with anyone, causing lots of turnovers with a strong defence.
Chelsea Hibbert and Stella Williams presented the entire game, and the side was well-led by Ruby Neessen and Zara Williams.
There are lots of positives this week, with plenty to work on

Under-13s: Jerilderie 6 def by Rennie 30.
Unfortunately, the under-13s didn’t come away with the win this week.
The girls all worked extremely hard and showed great improvement.
Sama Swaid demonstrated strong defence against Rennie’s shooters.
Jacinta Eldridge had great movement in the ring and opened up space in the attacking end.
The team showed great persistence in the midcourt against some tough defence.

Under-11s: Not scored.
Our under-11s minis gave their all this week against Rennie.
They all worked as a team, calling out nice and loud when leading for the ball.
The very small and junior under-11s team fought hard and didn’t drop their heads against a tall and very skilled Rennie team.
