About 11.15am Monday, police were called to an Atkinsons St home following reports a man and woman had been assaulted with a metal bar and shovel.
A handbag and documents were allegedly taken, before two men fled the scene.
NSW Ambulance attended, treating a 40 year-old woman for injuries to her face, head and arms. She was taken to Deniliquin Hospital for treatment.
A 26 year-old man was treated at the scene for arm injuries but declined further treatment.
Officers attached to Murray River Police District commenced an investigation.
As part of these inquiries, they stopepd a Kia Carnival on the Riverina Highway, about 20km east of Deniliquin about 11.40am.
The two male occupants - aged 29 and 34 - were arrested and taken to Deniliquin Police Station.
The younger man was charged with aggravated robbery, assault occasioning actual bodily harm, break and enter intend to commit serious indictable offence.
The older man was charged with break and enter intend to commit serious indictable offence, two counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and aggravated robbery.
They were refused bail to appear in Albury Local Court yesterday.
