For its third gig, The Winter Sessions turned Kialla Central Hall into an auditorium for the night, showcasing local-grown talent Fortessima and Braden Pullen.
A born and bred Invergorden local, Mr Pullen has moved to the big smoke but comes back to town to perform every now and again.
Mr Pullen, who has played The Winter Sessions a handful of times, said it was a chance to put into action and streamline his musical ideas from the past couple of years. He said the event “went smoothly”.
“It was really nice; obviously it’s been a while, so to be up on stage and back performing — it’s always a great event by Jamie Lea and Hugh Drum,” he said.
Audiences were kept captivated by the two acts.
Four-part vocal band Fortessima caused a stir through soulful rhythm and beats, throwing out their first ever rendition of an a capella tune.
Following the self-dubbed “mum band” was a tough ask, but Mr Pullen’s talent pulled the crowd into a trance with the combination of his melodious voice and electronic edge.
The Kialla leg of The Winter Sessions will be followed by the fourth and final show, at Merrigum Hall on August 27.
Timothy Li and jazz trio The Three of Us will take the stage at Merrigum.
Organiser Jame Lea encouraged those who had not yet been to a session to jump on board — and take the stress out of a night out, with bus tickets available.
“We’re just thrilled to have four amazing shows pretty much all sell out,” she said.
