While Kyabram Development Committee is still busy planning the celebration, community members can save the date for the Big Birthday Bash, which will take place on Friday, October 23 from 5.30pm to 10pm at Wilf Cox Pavilion.
After securing funding and hosting several interactive meetings to discuss ideas about how to celebrate the milestone, the committee is hopeful the festivities will feature food trucks, kids’ activities and a relaxed, family-friendly evening at the oval.
With something for everyone, the celebration will feature live entertainment with local bands and talent performing everything from opera to country music.
“Everyone who’s performing either lives in Kyabram or lived in Kyabram,” Kyabram Development Committee vice-president Tania Chiswell said.
Kyabram Development Committee secretary Renee Pichler said the idea was that people could bring a chair and blanket to sit and have a picnic on the oval.
“A nice community spirit is what we’re going for,” she said.
