The Berrigan RSL Sub-branch said it was encouraging to see so many young people attending the commemorative event, including from the Berrigan Children’s Centre and Berrigan Public School.
Students joined with veterans, sub-branch members and representatives from other groups to lay a wreath in honour of the fallen at the town’s memorial - unveiled on the the same day last year.
Remembrance Day marks the signing of the World War I Armistice agreement on November 11, 1918, which saw the guns fall silent at 11am the same day.
The sub-branch said it is important for the sacrifices of those who served in war - whether they returned or fell - to continue to be shared with future generations.
