The vibrant spirit of the community has again shone through, leaving a lasting impact on the students and families of Finley’s St Joseph’s Catholic Primary School.

Through the unwavering dedication of local organisations and generous residents, the school has received transformative financial contributions that enrich students' educational experiences.
The school is grateful for the support from the Second Hand Shop Community Group. Year after year, the group plays a vital role in subsidising school excursions.
By consistently alleviating these expenses, it ensures every student, regardless of circumstance, can participate in meaningful educational outings beyond the classroom.
The school also extended appreciation to Finley Apex Club for its donation towards the new courtyard learning area. This revitalised space provides an inspiring environment for collaborative outdoor learning.
The Apex Club also covered the entire transportation cost for the Year 3-6 excursions to Canberra in May.
Bus travel constitutes a major portion of travel expenses, and without this help, the financial impact on families would have been substantially higher.
The school appreciates the support of the broader Finley community with enthusiastic backing of the Easter raffle which helped ease the financial burden of the three-day Canberra trip for local families.
The St Joseph’s staff, students, and parents are grateful for these partnerships that foster both opportunity and community unity.
To thank them, Apex members were invited to a school Father’s Day breakfast where member Nathan Grimwood was presented with individual thank you cards from students to give to the members.
Cards were also presented to the Second Hand Shop for volunteers.
