Organisers want to advise local businesses, cafés, pubs, shops and accommodation providers in Tocumwal that they might be in for a busy few days.
The Massive Murray Paddle organisers are expecting around 350-450 paddlers, support crews and volunteers to be staying in and around Tocumwal for about two nights over November 15 and 16.
The event covers 415km of the Murray River over five days, and Tocumwal is a great place for the paddling community to spend some time before and during the event.
The organisers have been encouraging everyone involved to shop locally, eat locally and support the businesses that make regional towns like Tocumwal such great places to visit.
They genuinely hope their visit provides a welcome boost to our local economy.
