Families are invited to enjoy a free morning at the movies, with Strathbogie Shire Council hosting a screening of the animated film Happy Feet at the Euroa Community Cinema on Saturday, October 31.
Starting at 11am, the screening is free, with snacks provided.
Happy Feet follows the adventures of Mumble, a young emperor penguin who cannot sing like the other penguins but discovers a talent for tap dancing.
The screening is being held as part of Children’s Week, a national celebration recognising the talents, achievements and rights of children.
Running from Saturday, October 24 to Sunday, November 1, this year’s theme is ‘Children have the right to use their own language, celebrate their culture and practice their religion’.
Children under 13 years of age are required to attend with a parent or guardian. Free bookings can be made at events.humanitix.com/happy-feet-ecc
The event is presented by Strathbogie Shire Council in partnership with the Victorian Government. For more information, visit strathbogie.vic.gov.au or call 1800 065 993.
