The Eumungerie local featured on the program - which is all about training working dogs - and showcased his style of training to the crowds at Finley over the long weekend.
With MGH Rabbit - who was Australian Dog Of The Year for 2024 - Mr Hudson won the open section of the Finley Show Society’s 8th Annual Hypro Group Finley Sheep Dog Trials.
He had an overall score of 171.
Mr Hudson was one of 36 competitors who travelled from around Victoria, NSW, and Tasmania to showcase the skills of their dogs in Finley.
Over Friday, Saturday and Sunday, they collectively put 135 dogs through their paces across the encourage, novice, improver and open competitions at the Finley Showgrounds.
Finley Show president Kevin Sexton said the committee was pleased with the success of the event, and the number of spectators over the course of the three days.
“It was great to see so many locals and visitors enjoying the event and the weather we were lucky to have had,” he said.
The show committee has thanked all the sponsors for helping to ensure the dog trials were such a success, particularly major sponsor Hypro Group, Bruce Atkinson for use of his sheep, and Mr Sexton for the livestock transport.
