A barbecue served by the Jerilderie Lions Club, continuous spinning wheel draws and music throughout the evening by popular Berrigan artist Ray Macartney are sure to keep the crowd entertained.
World champion shooter Warren Potent will also serve as Murrumbidgee Council Australia Day ambassador.
Drawn on the night will be the raffle of four $50 vouchers from IGA.
Festivities begin at 6.30pm, and will be followed at 8pm by an official welcome from Murrumbidgee Council Mayor Ruth McRae and the announcement of the 2020 Australia Day Award winners, including Little Aussie Awards, Sportsperson of the Year, Citizen and Young Citizen of the Year.
‘‘This is a wonderful evening and a fantastic celebration of the Jerilderie community, and we are delighted with the level of support we receive, year after year. Australia Day recognises all that makes our country and our community great,’’ Cr McRae said.
‘‘The Australia Day Citizenship Awards provide an opportunity for our community to recognise the achievements of our citizens who have contributed in a significant way to our community.’’
Come along with family and friends to enjoy a relaxed Australia Day evening, capped off by a magical fireworks display over Lake Jerilderie, always the highlight of this great night.
