More than $20,000 was raised by the school and greater community, smashing the initial target of $5000 out of the park.
The money raised will go towards upgrades to the school’s outdoor covered learning area, which will include the resurfacing and painting, and new educational games added to them.
Finley Public School administrative manager Sasha Wood said students and staff had an amazing day, with the highlight of course being the sliming of eight unexpecting FPS staff members.
“Every student received a raffle ticket for every $20 raised and then staff and students were randomly selected,” she said.
“The student got to slime the staff member, much to the students’ delight!”
Students and staff also enjoyed the obstacle course set up on the oval.
A huge thank you was extended to the P&C, FPS staff, parents, family members and the community, whose support made the fundraising event such a success.
