In a free flowing and fast paced game against Tungamah, the Cats had some slick and impressive passages of play.
McKennan McIndoe worked hard in WD, taking many intercepts and transitioned the ball out of defence, linking well with Ash O’Leary and Holly Robinson to bring the ball to their attacking end.
Ruby Russell and Shania Bentley combined well and Wynta Brain continues to improve each week along with Savannah Wilson, who had another great game in defence.

The B grade Cats overcame the odds to record a 13 goal win over the Bears.
Finley were left struggling after two injuries within 10 minutes just after half time.
Micaelie Price stepped up from the Under 17s and did a great job in goals with Andrea Sneddon.
Bridget Tegart and Emma Hurlston worked overtime in defence taking many intercepts and rebounds and Sharni Sykes and Nicola Denny didn’t stop running all day.
Final score, Finley 37 to Tungamah 24.

Finley’s C grade played a stronger game this week but unfortunately went down by four goals.
With some positional changes due to players being unavailable, the team was lucky enough to have Sarah Haynes and Shianne Mason come up from the Under 17s to help out with the pair doing a great job.
Abbey Breust showed her flexibility going back to GD while Kaylee Lonsdale was solid through the midcourt.

The 13th placed Under 17s Cats came close to a massive scalp against the fourth-placed Bears, going down by only three goals.
Finley began with plenty of energy, scoring early and setting up their team plays effectively at the attacking end.
Accurate passing and early leads enabled the Cats to build on their start and remain in touch with a strong Tungamah team.
Niamh Mason worked tirelessly in WA bringing the ball to the goal circle where Micaelie Price as GA demonstrated her increasing dominance over her opponents in the ring.
Shianne Mason in WD led a committed and disciplined defensive group, providing turnovers from intercepts in the mid court and supporting Charlie Mason and Annabel Middleton in GD and GK.
Charlie and Annabel kept the pressure up for all four quarters against a very accurate Tungamah shooting team.

The Under 15s Cats played their best game of the season in a 27 goal win over Tungamah.
Mackenzie Hannan dominated in the ring and combined beautifully with Shannae Thomson.
Amarlee Price caused many turnovers taking intercepts from all over the court.
Cassidy Reynolds and Morgan Evans fed the ball in to the ring well while Jordan Gray, Courtney Lunn and Stella Mason were all very strong in defence.
All eight of members of the Finley team deserved awards this week as they all played a major part in such a big win over a side that was three spots above them on the ladder.

Finley’s in-form Under 13s side had another terrific win on the court Saturday, defeating Tungamah by 30 goals, enforcing a mercy ruling.
Sienna Burke showcased outstanding accuracy in goals and pressure in the centre to force the turnover.
Jasmine Burke worked tirelessly through the centre with precision passing in the ring and numerous intercepts.
Captain Charlotte Hurlston had a great game in defence while providing constant positive talk and encouragement to the team.

The Under 11s Kittens had another great game against the Bears.
The young Finley players are improving each week with fantastic footwork and teamwork.
Lexi Armstrong stood out with another great game and Zahlia Lawlor also played well.
