Tocumwal fourths will contest a semi-final against Tungamah, after being defeated in their qualifying final clash with Barooga.
The fourths came out firing against Barooga, producing an excellent opening quarter and matching it with the opposition early.
Unfortunately, they weren’t able to maintain that intensity and defensive pressure, with the boys struggling to man up, chase and maintain the pressure they showed early.
Barooga’s bigger bodies, speed and run proved difficult to contain as the game went on, and they eventually ran away with a convincing 76–7 win.
The result isn’t the end of the road for the fourths, who earned the double chance and will get another opportunity next Saturday's semi finals at Berrigan when they take on Tungamah.

This was a great game to start the team’s finals adventure. Players stood up in the little gritty moments, chasing every loose ball, fighting for every contest and never letting the pressure take away their stride.
They showed courage, worked hard for each other and left everything out on the court. The scoreboard didn’t go their way, but the effort, heart and determination certainly did.

The girls played a fantastic game, working hard and giving it their all right across the court. From strong defensive pressure to great movement and teamwork in attack, they stayed focused and backed each other up every step of the way.
For their first final, players should be proud of the effort, determination and teamwork they showed to record a well deserved win.
