From November 16-20, competitors will tackle an incredible 415km journey along the river, travelling from Yarrawonga to Koondrook over five demanding days.
Along the way, paddlers will pass through several Murray communities, including Tocumwal, where locals will have the chance to witness one of Australia's toughest endurance races up close.
For river towns such as Tocumwal, the event is more than just a race.
It brings an injection of visitors, support crews and spectators while showcasing the region's most valuable natural asset - the mighty Murray.
The Massive Murray Paddle has built a reputation as one of the country's premier paddling challenges, attracting athletes prepared to test themselves against long days on the water and hundreds of kilometres of river.
Organisers describe it as an “amazing five-day paddling adventure race”, combining endurance sport with a strong sense of community spirit.
That community focus remains at the heart of the event.
Since 2016, paddlers and their supporters have helped raise more than $1.25 million for charities and community programs across Australia, with participants encouraged to fundraise alongside their racing efforts.
The 2026 route will take competitors through Yarrawonga, Tocumwal, Picnic Point, Moama, Torrumbarry, Gunbower and Koondrook, linking a string of Murray River communities through one of the nation's most unique sporting events.
