Roar’s under-12 Yellow team continued their impressive season with a convincing 6-0 win against Wanderers in a game that saw three goals in each half.
Frankie Lean continued his good form, endlessly running to support his team mates and finishing with a hat-trick for his efforts.
Cooper and Billy Daniel also had a great game, with the buds of a long-lasting and productive relationship on the field starting to show as they linked up play throughout the game.
Ever resolute in defence, Kai Ramsdale, Amir Mohamed (captaining the side) and Bede Schwarz provided the confidence the team needed to continue pushing forwards.
Francois Carstens was everywhere, supporting the entire team when asked by the coaches to play almost every position throughout the entertaining game. It was a great example of teamwork and effort, which is so important at this stage of these young players’ footballing lives.
Wally Hargrave and Chanel Finai hussled and pressured the Wanderers’ midfield and defence to make sure that opportunities were created and taken, with everyone supported by Uday Singh in goal when called upon.
Nathanael Sutton tried in vane to support his team mates in the early stages of the match, but a niggling knee injury prevented too much involvement on the pitch. As a great show of the positive team ethic being created by this group of young boys, Nathanael continued to cheer on and support his teammates until the final whistle.
This strong result further cements Roar on the top of the ladder with a superior goal difference to Boomers, who sit on the same points total.

The Cobram Roar under-13s continued their impressive season with a hard-fought 6-3 victory against Wodonga Heart after overcoming a determined second-half challenge.
Cobram came out firing and controlled the opening half with excellent teamwork, quick passing, and strong finishing to take a commanding 4-1 lead into the break.
The second half proved much tougher as their opponents lifted the intensity and fought their way back into the contest. However, Cobram remained composed, worked hard for one another, and responded with two important goals to seal a deserved 6-3 win.
It was another fantastic team performance, with every player contributing both in attack and defence. The victory is another confidence-boosting result for the young Roar side, whose teamwork and resilience continue to shine each week.

Twin City Wanderers FC Under 14 Boys 0-5 Cobram Roar FC Under 14 Boys
The Cobram Roar under-14 boys produced an outstanding team performance on the weekend, claiming a convincing 5-0 away victory over Twin City Wanderers.
Despite being without several regular players, the Roar showed great determination and depth, with two under-13 players, Seb Mancini and Cooper Charles, stepping up to help the team. Both youngsters played with confidence and contributed to a fantastic all-round performance.
Cobram controlled the match from the opening whistle, creating plenty of chances and finishing them well. Strong teamwork, disciplined defence, and unselfish play across the field ensured the Roar kept a clean sheet while scoring five goals.
It was a complete team effort, with every player contributing to an impressive win and showcasing the team's depth and spirit. The result is a great reward for the team's hard work and commitment.

Cobram Roar Division 2 Women put on an attacking clinic on the weekend, overpowering Twin City Wanderers 8-1 with a dominant display from start to finish.
Roar wasted no time getting on the scoreboard, with Kylie Wooden finding the back of the net inside the opening minute to give the home side the perfect start. The early goal set the tone for what would become a one-sided contest.
Bella Ward doubled the advantage in the 14th minute before Issy Gardiner added a third just six minutes later. Holli Cameron capped off an outstanding first-half performance with Roar's fourth goal in the 33rd minute, sending the team into the break with complete control of the match.
Cobram showed no signs of slowing down after halftime. Laura Moras extended the lead before Molly Kennedy added another as Roar continued to create chances with confident passing and relentless pressure.
One of the highlights of the afternoon came from Maddi Simpson, who produced a spectacular finish from near the sideline, curling an incredible strike into the back of the net to leave players and spectators alike in awe. Maddi wasn't finished there, adding her second goal of the match to complete the 8-1 victory.
It was a complete team performance from Cobram Roar, with strong defensive work, excellent ball movement and clinical finishing across the park. The convincing win reflects the side's growing confidence and teamwork as they continue their impressive season.

Twin City Wanderers FC Division 3 Men 2-4 Cobram Roar FC Division 3 Men
Roar’s Division 3 Men’s team backed-up their away win last week with another impressive display, in a match that saw them win both halves in style.
Fantastic playing conditions led to an enjoyable game for both teams, who were able to play some decent football to delight the supporters. The first half finished seeing Vince Nicosia connect with the ball beautifully when in space just outside of the Wanderers’ area, with his shot flying into the goal and seeing Roar enter the half time break 2-1 ahead.
Wanderers pulled a goal back on 54 minutes to add some interest to the contest, but two quick goals after 60 minutes saw the tie swing in Roar’s favour. Rocky Perri took a goal extremely well & was clearly happy to get on the scoresheet. The experienced Alflonso Santoro - rolling back the years and in the best condition of his life - then scored directly from a well taken and in-swinging corner.
Roar now sit fifth on the ladder as we approach the business end of the season and now seem to have increasing confidence levels at this key stage.
Twin City Wanderers FC Division 2 Men 0-3 Cobram Roar FC Division 2 Men
A number of the Division 3 team who ran out victors earlier on in the day re-joined the field in the afternoon for the Division 2 match, which saw them run out 3-0 winners against a stubborn Wanderers outfit.
An entertaining first half ended goalless, despite the best attempts of both sides’ attacking players and resolute defences.
All the main action of the match occurred during the second half, which saw three yellow cards and all three of Roar’s goals.
Following a loose ball on the edge of the Wanderers’ area, Paul Bino got on the scoresheet with a well-taken goal. Knox Leonard then strode forward with the ball from the left, expertly taking his goal when in the area with only the goal keeper to beat.
Backing up his strong performance in the Division 3 game, Rocky Perri then scored his second of the day, in what ended up as a feisty encounter in the dying stages of the game.
