Mulwala has maintained its hold on a top-three position on the Murray League ladder after a convincing win against Numurkah on Saturday.
It was a competitive first half, with both clubs trading goals, before the Lions lifted after the main break, booting six goals to three to kick away with a 27-point win on the road.
Going into the fourth term, the Lions had gained a nine-point lead after trailing by a point at half time.
The gritty Lions went on to kick four goals to Numurkah’s one in what was an important win leading into the bye.
Beau Seymour was again amongst the goals kicking three while Kyal Tyson continues his rich vein of form along with Matt Holgate, Will Cookson and Tom Dow.
The Lions will return home to Lonsdale Reserve in Round 14 to take on sixth-placed Moama.

With a number of players unavailable this week, Mulwala welcomed a handful of Fourths players into the side, and they all stepped up with great performances.
Nate Leith was outstanding up forward, finishing with three goals and providing a constant target all game.
Alex Richardson and Hugo Varndell worked tirelessly in defence, shutting down numerous attacking opportunities and saving multiple goals.
Hayden Stephens played his run-with role to perfection, limiting his opponent’s influence while continuing to contribute around the ground.
Jack Butler battled hard in the ruck, giving the midfield first use of the ball, while Jake Dalen was a strong presence up forward and played an important role in the victory.
It was a terrific team effort, with everyone contributing to a hard-fought win over Numurkah, 9.0.54 to 5.9.39.

Unfortunately, it was not the result Mulwala was chasing, going down to Numurkah 33–23.
While the boys were eager for the win, they let the game get into their heads at times and forgot how much a positive attitude and attacking the contest can bring positive results.
Zeke Small worked tirelessly all day and never stopped competing.
Jack Sage showed great determination and provided plenty of drive around the ground.
Reed Phillips continued to put his body on the line and attacked every contest with courage.
Harley Dunlop gave consistent effort and kept working for his teammates.
Colin Lowry played with great intent, applying pressure and showing strong commitment throughout the game.
Finn Mitchell showed great composure and contributed strongly with his effort and teamwork.
The boys fought right until the final siren but unfortunately fell just short of the win.
The effort and determination were there, and that is something to build on.
They will enjoy the bye, reset, and come back ready to play the positive, attacking football they know they are capable of.

It was a fantastic team effort from Mulwala, with the side down at quarter time before fighting back to be in front at half time.
Myley was on fire in the ring, shooting with accuracy.
Jem and Myley worked well together in goals.
The Smith sisters were also dynamite.
Marlie took control in centre, working hard all game.
Alannah made the shooters work hard for their goals.
It was a great and well-deserved win over Numurkah, 50–33.

Numurkah (18) def by Mulwala (60)
Mulwala’s Under 15s produced a solid performance on the weekend, securing a very strong 60–18 victory over Numurkah.
The group settled quickly and controlled the match from start to finish, showing confident ball movement and great connection across the court.
Nat and Paige worked well in goals, finishing strongly off excellent feeds from Layla and Siena, with the attacking end flowing smoothly throughout the game.
In defence, Scarlett, Ri, Claire and Nancy were tireless, making full value of every turnover and keeping Numurkah under pressure all match.
A fantastic team effort sees the girls sitting third on the ladder, in a comfortable and promising position as they head into Round 14 against Moama.
Under 13s
Numurkah (19) def by Mulwala (43)
On a sunny winter’s day, the girls travelled to Numurkah ready to face the team that narrowly beat them by three goals back in Round 3.
Determined to turn the tables, they came out firing from the first whistle and showed they meant business.
With outstanding teamwork, intent, and effort across the court, the girls delivered a dominant performance, finishing with an impressive 24-point win, a true reflection of their growth from Round 3 to Round 13.
A big shoutout goes to Lucy Colomb, who stepped in this week and made a strong impact in defence, earning the Thursday Night Dinner Award.
Maddie Witton worked tirelessly through the midcourt, creating strong leads and consistently presenting as an option, earning the Jaycees Award.
Indy Burnett was outstanding in GA, feeding beautifully into the GS and shooting with confidence all game to take home the Commercial Glazing Solutions Award.
It was a fantastic team effort, and a great display of how far this group has come, with Mulwala defeating Numurkah 43–19.
Under 11s 1
This competitive match against Rumbalara presented the team with a chance to showcase their progress.
Executing strong leads, solid defence, and accurate passing, they were able to hold the opposition at bay.
Lola Hammond was strong across all areas of the court, constantly moving and seizing numerous opportunities to win the ball.
Elise Gash played exceptionally well, particularly in defence, intercepting the ball with some well-timed and clean interceptions.
Overall, the girls demonstrated fantastic teamwork and played exceptionally well.
Under 11s 2
Against the Numurkah side, the Mulwala team showed dominance.
Working cohesively and following the philosophy of position rotations, the girls showcased their skill and versatility as their team positioning changed.
Isla utilised her height, taking intercepts and shooting strongly to play a strong game for the Lions.
Frankie had her best performance of the season so far, dominating defence and creating numerous attacking opportunities.
It was a great team effort.
