Siblings Sienna, Cooper and Jasmine Burke competed at the state finals for squash last week, representing the Riverina.
The youngsters from Finley High School headed to Coffs Harbour, to attend the NSW Combined High Schools Squash Championships.
The three day competition saw lots of court action, with the students performing well.
Other competing sides included North Coast, North West, South Coast, Sydney North, Sydney West and Western.
The youngsters enjoyed the event with some great wins across the championships.
The Riverina girls won their first game against North Coast 5-3.
In the second game, they had a loss against Sydney North 5-3 and in their next round, they beat North West 6-2.
In their final round, they were unfortunately defeated by Western 8-0.
For the boys team, Riverina had a 7-1 win against South Coast, before a loss against Sydney West 6-2.
In their next round, they were beaten by Sydney North 8-0.
In their next game, they were beaten by Western 6-2, but then followed up with a solid 8-0 win against North West.
Overall, Sienna and Jasmine came third for the Riverina girls team event, and Cooper fifth with the boys team.
The siblings also enjoyed the individual events, where they continued to improve and showcase their skills.
Mother Renee Burke shared her praise for her children’s involvement, who are all rounders when it comes to sport.
‘‘We are absolutely proud of them,’’ she said.
‘‘It also keeps them fit and active.’’
The twins Jasmine and Sienna are in Year 9, and Cooper is in Year 12.
All three have played squash and tennis as well.
Ms Burke said the siblings have been to state titles about four times.
‘‘They are all round athletes, with Cooper also playing football and the girls playing netball,’’ Ms Burke said.
