The girls faced a significant challenge against an undefeated Nathalia, but did not let this affect them. They came out strong in the first quarter, running goal-for-goal with them.
There were many encouraging passages of play throughout the match, particularly when the girl’s remained patient with ball movement and worked together throughout the court.
Regardless of the score line, the girls maintained their intensity, supported each other, and continued to implement the strategies discussed during the breaks.
While the result was not what we had hoped for, the girl’s effort, sportsmanship, and willingness to keep fighting until the last whistle is something to be proud of.

Saturday’s game was a fantastic example of resilience, determination, teamwork and what some belief means.
After trailing by ten goals at half-time, the entire team showed tremendous character to fight their way back and secure a thrilling one goal win.
It was great to see we were calm under pressure and everyone doing their job right to the final whistle.
The final quarter highlighted the team’s belief and determination.
Every player contributed to the comeback, demonstrating excellent communication, discipline, and refusal to give up.

Everyone played well in this tough game against a good side, they never gave up and had many nice passages of play throughout the game
Defence worked extremely hard a lot of hands to ball and some lovely passages of play.

C-reserve: Finley 46 def by Nathalia 50.
Everyone knew the game would be a tight contest and Nathalia’s accurate shooters were very dominant, giving them the slender win.
The girls worked as a team and kept fighting, but couldn’t get in front on the scoreboard.

Under-17s: Finley 39 def Nathalia 36.
A close game this week, Nathalia kept Finley under pressure for all four quarters, not allowing the scoreline to blow out.
Our defenders were solid, creating turnovers from their constant pressure.

Under-15s: Nathalia 26 def Finley 19.
The girls played a fantastic game against Nathalia, showing vast improvement since our last match-up.
We kept the margin within reach all game and competed strongly right to the final whistle, but unfortunately could not close the gap.
Amber showed her versatility across the court before moving into the goal circle, where she cleverly outsmarted the defence and shot accurately.
Grace had strong hands on the wing, confidently moving the ball down the court and helping drive our attack.
A wonderful team effort and plenty of positives to take into the next game.

Well, the team had a cracking game against Nathalia this week, showing huge improvement across the court.
It was a great game to watch, with everyone giving their best effort.
Unfortunately, we did not get the win, but we are excited to keep improving and look forward to next week.

Our youngest Cats came out firing against the Purps in a great, even contest.
It was fantastic to see the players having a go in many various positions and showing just how versatile they can be.
Everyone contributed well, worked hard for each other, and had plenty of fun along the way.
