A hard, physical game against the Hawks, with the score quite even until the last quarter when Barooga managed to get in front after a couple of costly turnovers.
The girls were strong in defence against some very attackers. They played well together in their second game of the season and will continue to improve as the season moves forward.

A determined and spirited performance against strong opposition.
Overall, it was a hard-fought game with plenty of positives. The team showed great teamwork, perseverance and heart, and should be proud of their efforts against such a tough side.
C-grade:Barooga 68 def Jerilderie 31
Jerilderie faced a tough match against Barooga, going down by 37 goals. Despite the scoreboard, the team showed determination and effort across all four quarters.
Barooga came out strong early and maintained consistent pressure, but Jerilderie continued to work hard, with passages of great play and teamwork throughout the game. The players showed resilience, never dropping their heads and continuing to support each other right to the end.
C-reserve: Barooga 42 def Jerilderie 15
A couple of new faces injected some much-needed speed through the midcourt, with the team having plenty of the ball, but struggling to convert.
It was a physical match which the Demons weren’t quite ready for, but the girls will be able to take some positives and lessons learnt into the game next week.
Under-17s: Barooga 22 def by Jerilderie 47
Another great game against a team new to the league, with the Demons going into the game not knowing what they were up against, but the whole team stepped up and played a tremendous game.
There was clean defence work in the ring to strong attacking down the court and into the shooters. All the girls should be extremely proud of their efforts.
Under-15s: Barooga 17 def Jerilderie 8
The girls led a very strong defensive game, but unfortunately Barooga dominated in their attack and the girls just couldn’t convert the goals. BOC Pippa Shaw made three incredible intercepts that led to goals being scored.
The final quarter saw a turnaround from the Jerilderie attackers, with six goals being scored, but it wasn’t quite enough.

The team took on Barooga for the first time in an action packed match full of determination and teamwork.
At half time, the Demons trailed by just one goal, and by three-quarter time the scores were even. In a nail-biting final quarter, the team fought with relentless drive and focus, pushing through every challenge to snatch the victory by a single goal.

The girls took to the court with great energy and determination, holding their own against a strong and well-matched opponent. Across the court, the players showed great teamwork, improving communication, and growing confidence.
