Cobram did their adoring fans proud at home on the weekend, securing victory over Tongala in round seven of the Murray Football League.

Tongala had the stronger start though, taking a 10-point lead into quarter time.
However, Cobram had time to turn things around. They only needed one quarter, blitzing away to a 47-26 half-time lead.

The game was very much still yet to be decided as the teams entered the fourth quarter, which began 72-40.
By the close of the final stanza though, Cobram had taken charge of the game, kicking away to a 88-60 win.
Cobram’s Jackson Trengove was his side’s most prolific goal-kicker with four to his name.

Cobram’s best players were Harry Beasley, Samuel Beasley, Jackson Trengove, Luca Allen, Matthew DeMaio and Thomas McShane.
Cobram currently sits sixth on the ladder.
And in a case of taking a feather out of the seniors’ cap, Cobram’s under-14s took down their Tongala rivals in equally convincing fashion, 70-27.
