Blighty wins right to host important program

Blighty Football Netball Club will soon host a special session with mental health education organisation Outside the Locker Room.

The club won a session via a ‘Changing the Game’ competition hosted on social media.

The competition required clubs and their supporters to share OTLR’s Facebook post to be considered for the prize.

The winner was announced Monday evening, and a date for the session is yet to be announced.

OTLR’s aim is to “change the game for mental health in sport”.

It delivers mental health literacy education programs to build both collective and individual mental health and wellbeing in the community.

The organisation was founded in 2015 by Jake Edwards who, through the program, shares his own experiences of being a professional AFL player while living with depression and attempting suicide.
