No doubt parents of young children in the local community will be delighted to hear the Berriquin Community Toy Library is up and running again.
Finley MenShed members were happy to assist with a generous donation presented to the group in the initial stages of development.
Situated in the old Guide Hall, this facility will be open each Friday between noon and 1pm.
However, toys available to borrow can be viewed and bookings made online using the group’s Facebook page.
Toys for children aged six months to approximately six years are available.
The original toy library began back in 1988.
It was necessary to discontinue approximately eight years ago due to unforeseen circumstances.
It is hoped that families, including grandparents and child carers, will take advantage of this valuable service to the community.
The new committee was reformed recently and would love to have more parents involved in taking the library forward as interest grows.
Donations of toys from the community would be most welcome, however health and safety regulations must be complied with.
Further information can be obtained by contacting committee president Sarah McNaught on 0423 784 735.
