A wholly volunteer organisation, it has already hosted the poultry auction in March.
It was a huge success due to the committee and community members contributing their time across many roles such as auctioneering, office work, the barbecue and animal husbandry.
Preparations are well underway for the Three Sheep Dog Trail which will be held over the June long weekend, June 9 to 11, and the 105th annual Finley Show to be held on Father’s Day, Sunday, September 3.
The Three Sheep Dog Trail attracts competitors from around NSW and Victoria.
Volunteers will be busy ensuring the event runs smoothly and catering for competitors and spectators.
As plans for the Finley Show continue, the Show Society teams attend monthly meetings in preparation and to ensure continuity of such.
They will also hold working bees and street stalls.
“I would like to thank all that volunteer in any capacity towards our events, giving up their time to contribute. It does not go unnoticed,” president Matt Mueller said.
“Volunteering is high on my agenda as its giving back to a community that provides for my family.
“I highly recommend you give any time towards volunteering in our community, as without people events can’t happen.”
The Finley Show Society committee always welcomes new members/volunteers. If you’re interested in finding out more, head to the Finley Show Society website or Facebook page.
