The pair opted to preserve the legacy of the generations of gardeners that came before, through the promotion of heirloom seed instead of the “new and improved” seed varieties released by corporates every year.

Widely known for saving and sharing numerous precious Australian heirloom seed varieties, The Diggers Club has become synonymous with backyard farming and organic gardening.

Now listing well over 500 varieties of heirloom seed in its annual seed catalogue, and preserving even more precious heirlooms in its seed vault, what started as an alternative to the corporates has become an institution for Australian gardeners of all levels.
