This initiative was originally created to assist the school’s P&C Committee in purchasing new technology for the school students.
This has been a long-term project for the P&C, collecting the money in these tins and accumulating it for use on a project that will directly benefit the school and its students.
Through community donations to these tins, the P&C has been proud to be able to contribute $10,000 towards the purchase of 25 new laptop computers for the school.
The school students are over the moon with the new laptops, which will be well used and allow the children to have one each in the primary rooms when required.
They will also be used by the infant rooms when required.
The P&C committee extend a huge thank you to the Tocumwal community for their donations into these tins, and the shop owners for having them on their counters.
