Emergency services were called to a single occupant car crash which occurred near the intersection on the Riverina Highway with Telephone Ln at Savernake last Friday.
The car was travelling from Albury to Finley.
Berrigan Rural Fire Service member and Federation Zone Group Captain Greyd’n Davis said emergency services attended the scene at 7.30am.
He said the car had “deviated from the road” and gone through a stand of the trees at the roadside.
Capt Davis said the driver suffered only minor injuries, which he said was “lucky”.
The car was towed away from the crash site.
While the cause of the crash has not been officially reported, Capt Davis said driving conditions have been challenging of late.
He urged drivers to take care driving in wintry and foggy conditions, and to stay vigilant during longer commutes, particularly through Savernake.
