Deni A-grade may not have secured the win against Moama over the weekend, but they delivered a strong performance.
Annie Harvey worked diligently throughout the game, forming a solid partnership with Ruby Russell on the defensive end.
Her agility led to numerous turnovers, bolstered by Amelia Seignior, who excelled in the mid-court and was named best on court for her efforts.
Amelia’s ability to transition the ball from defence to attack was evident as she consistently reached the circle edge, facilitating accurate feeds to the shooters.
Bec Biggs took command of the attacking end, collaborating seamlessly with Rhiannan Maxwell and delivering precise shots all game.
Congratulations to Ava Richards, Aysha Mitsch, and Emma Parks for making their A-grade debuts and contributing to the game on Saturday.

B-grade: Moama 51 def Deni Rams 31.
The B-grade team put up a strong fight throughout the game against a challenging opponent, showcasing some excellent plays and putting immense pressure on Moama.
Macie Free was named best on the court for the day due to her outstanding performance.
She seamlessly transitioned into the centre position during the first quarter and didn’t miss a beat.
Macie’s relentless pressure and eagerness for the ball led to numerous turnovers, while her speed facilitated smooth, end-to-end play.
The ever-consistent Amber Farley delivered accurate feeds to the shooters and was impressive with her defensive efforts as wing attack.
The defence tirelessly contended with Moama’s agile and tall shooting end.
Phoebe Jefferies’ strength in the air shone through as she seized opportunities to intercept the ball and create turnovers.
It was a hard day, but we can take a lot from it and continue to improve.

C-grade: Moama 43 def Deni Rams 32.
The team came out firing in the first quarter. Their movement and control was a pleasure to watch.
Moama stepped it up through the second and third quarters, and we lost momentum and confidence.
After a third-quarter break re-set, the team found their mojo again in the last quarter and fought hard until the last whistle.
Although we didn’t get the win, there were lots of positives to take from the game.
Mel Edwards had a ripper this week. She got her hands to multiple balls, causing turnovers, and provided lots of attacking drive.
Dakota Mitsch was strong in body and movement and set an example of the importance of keeping a strong mindset when trying to succeed.
Ellie Parks, like Dakota, was composed for the entire match. She showed strong leadership and consistency in the goal circle and had good connections with her attacking teammates.

C-Reserve: Moama 47 def Deni Rams 13.
Moama’s skills and experience were a class above, so Saturday’s game was about focusing on the small wins.
We took the opportunity to give two of our juniors senior netball experience.
Chloe Barwick, Suzette van den Berg, and Sami Davies extended their skills in less familiar positions, and Maddy was stoked that we had made it to double digits.
It was tough down the defensive end this week, but Sami and Ayla Ngnanko were stellar.
Youngster Macey Butcher was a godsend through the mid-court, showing us all that young legs are a bonus sometimes.

Under-17s: Moama 45 def Deni Rams 23.
It was a tough day on the court this week.
We started well, and our defenders gave us plenty of opportunities, but unfortunately, we struggled with our conversion at times.
Everyone battled hard all game. Moama was just too good.
Emma Parks led from the front this week, playing her role in defence and controlling our mid-court attack with patience, control and maturity.
Eliza Atley, another of the team’s leaders who provided continuous movement in the shooting circle, shoots well and is showing so much confidence early this season.
Abbey Doncon tried her hand at a slightly unknown position and shone.
Abbey worked hard to ruffle her opponent’s movement and provide a great option when working the ball into attack.

Under-15s: Deni Rams 32 def Moama 30.
It was a tough hit out from the get-go for our under-15s.
The girls took an early lead, showcasing composure and teamwork all over the court.
Our defensive end worked tirelessly to shut down any play they could to give the team an extra boost.
Our mid-court ran out a warm game, opening up multiple passages of play and feeding the ring in what looked effortlessly.
Lastly, our goalers were on fire, rarely missing.
Moama tried to claw their way back in the last quarter, but our girls wouldn’t allow it; their work effort and determination got them over the line by two goals.

Under-13s: Moama 41 def Deni Rams 11.
The girls took on Moama, knowing they were facing tough competition.
Positional changes at half-time saw some girls in positions they don’t usually play, but they stepped up to the challenge.
Olivia Jeffrey worked hard in the ring, showing her versatility and adaptability when she switched from her attacking role into defence.
Emma Wettenhall displayed her shooting skills, sinking goals from all angles.
Zara O’Donnell ran hard all game, being a reliable option for her teammates.
Even though the score didn’t go our way, there was a great display of team sportsmanship from all the girls.

Under-11s: Not scored.
The youngest Rams again showed their tenacity on the court after facing a formidable team at Moama.
The height and experience of the Moama girls did not stop the Deniliquin team from chasing every ball and valiantly defending every pass.
Stella Butcher was relentless, and Indi Hillier paired beautifully in the mid-court.
Isla Moodie, on an opponent that was twice her size, not only matched her player but also managed to shoot some goals and contest some rebounds.
Charlotte Gatacre was brilliant in attack and paired well with Harriet Maher, who also saw her fair share of the ball.
Once again, the girls showed teamwork and an attitude that saw them keep going in what was a tough game.
