The Tocumwal Library renovations are nearing completion and, as part of the works, the library entrance has been relocated around the corner to the CWA Park side of the building.
It provided improved accessibility for people using mobility aids, wheelchairs and prams.
Signage and a bench will be installed in front of the former entrance, to help reinforce the new access arrangements.
The existing external library toilets have now been demolished as part of the renovations, however there is still an accessible toilet facility within the library.
To improve accessibility and community services, two new accessible public toilets will be installed adjacent the accessible playground. Construction will start soon.

Tocumwal Optimists were recently treated to an interesting and informative presentation by Neri Wise, facility nurse manager at Tocumwal Multipurpose Service.
Neri, originally from the Philippines, has been in Australia since 1995.
Prior to arriving in Australia, Neri worked as an administrator in the Middle East, at Bahrain.
She studied and trained in Australia and has experienced working in administration in hospitals and aged care facilities in various parts of our country, including Katherine, Port Augusta and Hall’s Creek.
The Optimists thank Neri and appreciate her time and presentation, and her willingness to candidly answer numerous questions from the captive audience about staffing of nurses and many other matters at the Tocumwal MPS.
The groups’ major fundraiser is approaching, and there will be a street stall outside IGA from 9am on Saturday, September 26.
A wide range of delicious homemade cakes, slices and preserves will be available for purchase, as well as plants, books and handicrafts.
At the street stall you can purchase tickets ($5 each) for the extremely popular ‘Garden Cart Raffle’.
A folding Gorilla Cart, generously donated by Bunnings Yarrawonga, will be filled with items donated by members.
Second prize will be a $100 voucher to The Bend Restaurant in Tocumwal.
Raffle tickets will also be available on Saturday, October 3 outside IGA, and at the Foreshore Market on Saturday, October 31, where the winners will be drawn at 1pm.
Funds raised will be distributed to various local community organisations.
