The club thanked the 25 stallholders who came with their baked goods, honey, crochet, plants, artwork, preserves, cheesecakes, flowers, and more!
They also send a big thank you to everyone who came to make a purchase, have morning tea and catch up.
All funds raised through site fees, gold coin entry and morning tea help the Lions Club to continue supporting our local schools, disaster relief, and health programs.
Make sure you diarise the next Made, Baked and Grown Market which will be on August 1, 2026.

Two local students, Ava Kruizinga and Leah Ryan, are now three months into their year-long international exchange thanks to the support of the Tocumwal Rotary Club and the Rotary Youth Exchange Program.
As part of this exchange, Ava and Leah’s journey also involves a vital community role in finding welcoming local families to host incoming international students.
These reciprocal placements are a key element of the Rotary Youth Exchange Program, allowing global students to immerse themselves in Australian life.
The Tocumwal Rotary Club has been appealing to the community for assistance. They are seeking four generous families from our area to host a high school exchange student for a period of 3-4 months.
Ava and Leah’s own families will take part in the hosting rotation and hope other local families might be open to doing the same.
Hosting an exchange student is a rewarding opportunity to share your home and culture with a young person from another part of the world. It’s a way to help them experience life in Australia while your own family gains insight into another culture.
Many host families report the experience builds lifelong friendships and opens the door for future travel.
Host families are asked to provide a safe and supportive home environment and offer the student their own private bedroom and access to a bathroom with a lock. They also provide three meals a day and include the student in day to day family life.
Transport to and from school and Rotary events is required, along with general emotional support and encouragement to help the student adjust and thrive.
Tocumwal Rotary will provide ongoing assistance and will manage the schooling and student support of the exchange student. These students will be attending Cobram Secondary Collage and will receive $150 a month in spending money.
If you have ever considered opening your home to a student from abroad, now is the perfect time. You may even have a 15 to 17 year old child yourself wanting to partake in an exchange in 2027 and this is a fantastic opportunity to experience the program first hand.
For more information or to express your interest, please contact host family representative Shae Kruizinga via email shaeandja@gmail.com or Rotary president Lynette Miller via email lynette_miller@live.com.

Tocumwal bowlers secured a strong third place finish at the 71st Duke of Edinburgh Shield held last month across 16 RSL venues.
More than 1700 lawn bowlers competed in challenging wind and raining conditions with the Tocumwal side performing consistently throughout the weekend and narrowly missing out on second place in their section on a countback to Portarlington/St Leonards.
The Cohuna/Leitchville RSL team claimed victory in the Tocumwal section and went on to be crowned overall champions for 2026.
The Duke of Edinburgh Shield was established through a joint initiative by Bowls Victoria and RSL Victoria to support servicemen returning from World War II, offering them an opportunity to build camaraderie through sport.
That founding spirit continues to underpin the event, which remains a prominent fixture on the lawn bowls calendar.
The Tocumwal team included Ellen Williamson, Cheryl Mears, Geoff Mears, Mary Gierveld, Ben Gierveld, Colin Farrar, Rod Brown, Judy Harvie, Bob Bowman, Siggy Rempel, Ian Cameron, Donna Carter, Karen Stephenson, Rebecca Dungan, Geoff Westmore, Norma Hill, Andrew Hill, Gary Mott and Tex Penna.
Congratulations to you all.
